The Meeting - First IDEA
The Golden/Magic Hour
BRAINSTORM
- 2 photographers meet on a river walkway during the photographers magic hour.
- 2 people coming together because of a time that is something they share in common.
- 1 is less experienced than the other?
- 1 helps the other giving tips hence forming a relationship
Man and Woman: Romantic
Two Men: Friendship
Two Women: Friendship
- Hard working city jobs both use photography as an escape.
- Magic hour a mutual time shared for bonding whether it be romanic or Friendly?
- Shy introverted both of them despite spending in the company of each other nothing more than a glance at first.
- This has indadvertedly turned into a Romantic meeting so scrap the friends thing, Man and Woman it is.
- He has obvious affection for her, but as there is not much talk she begins to have thoughts of him being some king of stalker.
- Tension obviously visible between 2.

LOCATIONS
- Set on the modern looking pier near the Doust Way Halls (Primary Location).
- Possible minor Locations car/train/bus for long and arduous commute.
- Change to more of a country setting near the Maidstone studios.
MORE BRAINSTORM
- Girl very spontaneous so changes hobbies very often???
- He finally plucks up the courage one evening, but she never comes back after that???
- Puts posters up to try and find her whom he only knows as 'Chloe'???
On second thought I don't think he should find out her name.
Supernatural route:
- Meets somebody who claims to know Chloe, but she informs him that she died 3 years ago???
- Or some sort of variation on this a reason she doesn't return at least for the moment???
- There is no record of her in any of the photos he was taking that had her in one corner???
- Or he was convinced he saw her in previous photos???
- Magic, Golden or Blue hour?
- or "Belt of Venus" which could be seen as a title with more romantic feel?
Twin Theory:
- She disappears so he looks into it.
- Woman has twin
- Twist that makes him believe she died as he sees a picture of the woman he has been seeing on the pier.
- Turns out she is in mourning for her sister.
- She does eventually return, but when he sees a figure that looks very similar to her he believes it to be a ghost haunting him.

Story
Rating: 4.7 out of 5
Directed by: John Michael McDonough
Cinematography by: Larry Smith (My current favourite)
- An man (unknown to the audience) tells the priest that he is going to kill him on Sunday week.
- He is given a week to get his house in order and make his piece with God.
- Priest encounters many locals during the week and each of them is dark and complicated with or without motive to kill someone.
- Not a case of who done it, but WHO IS GOING TO DO IT?
- Modern setting in a small isolated Irish Village tight nit group of people all with very different intentions and views.
- Threatened at the start in the confessional 'Father James' goes about his daily business meeting many of the townsfolk on his way each with different characteristics.
- All leading up to the climactic Sunday where James will meet his threatener or killer.
- The other element is that 'James' knows exactly who it is who is going to meet him on the beach, but the audience will not know who it is.
Theme
- Morality
- Revenge
- Compassion
- An Innocent man in a situation out of his control
